I Have BEEN Holding MY NOSE since the 1980s__it was COCKWELL Who Established THIS """BUSINESS MODEL"""__and Set Up """THE PARTNERS"""__ Who ALWAYS are a FACTOR in EVERYTHING BrookField does,

Nope, I wouldn't. I'm more or less done with Brookfield. There's just too many slimy and financial engineering things going on for me. They did some incredibly weird stuff around record dates on BEP.UN with the BEPC split. They also were totally dishonest saying BPY.UN had a $30 NAV and took it over for $22 or whatever. I also didn''t like the whole idea with the BEPC and BIPC structure/idea.

As mentioned, we are totally out of BEP.UN and BPY.UN and have sold 80% of our BIP.UN anare d debating on the last 20%.

How she go?

I have a pretty similar thought process and would be happy with PPL getting the take-over done but I actually would just slightly prefer that PPL just gets the break-up fee and be done with it.

I also agree on Brookfield issues but it took me a little while to get to that stage. Once realizing how slimy they are, we sold all our BEP.UN (huge profit) and BPY.UN (tiny profit) and 80% of our BIP.UN (also huge profit so far). I'm not quite to the point of selling the last 20% as we sure have done well with it.

Regardless of what happens, it should be very interesting stuff.

Take her easy

I hope they are sccessful in the bid as it would definitley be acretive over the medium to long haul, but either way I don't see much downside to holding PPL long.

I never like the Brookfield group, don't care for their tactics, overly com[plicated structues and lack of transparency. All their bid for IPL has done is solidify that view. Have never held Brookfield, never will. Don't ever invest with people you don't trust.
