RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:TommyHey Tommy, is science done by consensus?

Tommy123 wrote: Oh, I didn't know you were smarter than tens of thousands of scientists and experts  who say we need to ween ourselves off of carbon LMFAO.

"I'm with the gov't.. I'm here to help" ... LMAO..! Carney is an accountant.. although probably a good one... but when he made the statement on BNN talking to Amanda Lang and promoting his book he made the statement that "once C02 enters the atmosphere its there for 100's of years"... I damn near fell off my chair laughing.. I guess he's never heard of photosynthesis has he.. or seen a tree.. or a lawn.. or a wheat/canola/barley/oats/corn.. (on and on) field.. someone that makes such a stupid comment is clearly a dangerous person to be running a country.. let alone a business.. Cmon man get real Tommy..!!! This world doesn't function of fairy dust and facebook likes.. And if you think running the Canadian O&G sector into the ground will stop oil production and consumption.. well.. I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.. its a nice bridge.. it goes from here to there.. You LOVE IT..!! :-/

Tommy123 wrote: I should add, Carney is EXTREMELY supportive of any policies and taxes that slow down climate change; likely more than Trudeau is.

Tommy123 wrote: Agreed. I view this as a referendum on climate change and whether we want to take big action. And yes, this will likely be Trudeau's last term, though I've heard it's extremely likely that Carney will be the next Liberal leader. Maybe the Conservatives will get someone competent; though that would surprise me considering how it's a ranked ballot, and the most bland, second choice for everyone always seems to get chosen.

A minor effort for which many (on multiple occasions) died to defend. The disconcerting issue, for me, is the absolute certainty which the climate argument/models must be accepted as unfailing. I mean some have stated that if fossil CO2 is not curbed within 9 yrs, we will be irreparably destined to extinction. That is a very definite statement. You must understand the doubt. It has been difficult enough to have a universal excepted protocol for the most recent pandemic. That is a contemporary and actual threat, as opposed to ethereal future forecasting. Experts disagree continually and from within the same "camp", not adversaries. Think about this in relation to modelling capabilities. One of the strongest drivers of humans is to achieve wealth. I think that is indisputable. Many of the smartest people in the world work in finance attempting to realize that goal for themselves and others. If modelling is so effective and accurate how is it that, as yet, arguably the brightest humans who have ever existed in human history are unable to predict the movement of a dynamic system Known as the stock market. I think this is a simpler dynamic system than the world future weather reactions. I can speculate that is not for lack of effort, given tbe reward. Something to think about. Returning to the voting idea, please exercise your right but remember it is unlikely that the current Prime Minister will be in power until 2030 and policies have a habit of changing...just ask any displaced politician.
