It would be foolish not buy-in before the expiring dates. It may temporarily push the share price down giving anyone who wants to buy in cheaper to do so. Overall the dilution will be minimal.
Mr. Pascali is cashing in a juicy profit and buys back enough new shares to maintain his percentage of the total outstanding shares. Great move! Given the same situation, you and I would do the same.
