Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) weighs in

Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) weighs inAn article on Bloomberg.com  Sat July 17 at 12:05 pm, titled " Brookfield's Inter Pipeline bid Favored by ISS over Pembina Deal"  outlines why Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) recommends IPL shareholders vote against the PPL offer.  While "there is a sound stategic rationale for a combination with PPL and the all-stock transaction could deliver upside for investors, Brookfield's higher cash offer provides financing certainty without regulatory risk"

Notwithstanding this view, the article also sums up where we are now - " Brookfield's latest move puts additonal pressure on IPL's board to secure a better deal from PPL."
