That would be amazing, seems like they have most of the cannabis market locked down. The only company to my knowledge that was able to garner any ape steam was Sundial, and they've pretty well floated back to earth now.
Mind you it allowed them to raise a boatload of cash, and pretty well saved their business model. Spiritleaf will be a nice feather in their cap. Would be nice if the whole thing with OnePlant turned out, does anyone know if thats still a thing?
They mention it in the latest financials, we have a 9.9% equity stake which we paid 4 million for. Suggesting that the enterprise valuation for OPC is 40m. This was at the height of the cannabis boom, and considering price compression and a mass inflow of competition, that could have gone down.
They have 20 stores open currently and 4 in the pipeline ready to open this summer. Suggesting that a 2m valuation per location at a mkt cap of 40m makes sense.
I would be more than willing to take a 40-50m dilution hit to buy the remaining 90.1% of OPC out entierly.
It seems like the 'big boys' are all pairing up with their dance partners and going that route. We now have the pipeline to fill those shelves nicely and could see some nice synergies from it all. And who knows, maybe that would set the stage to a forey into the US market when the time is right. :)
Just thinking out loud here.
