RE:RE:The Trading VolumeDo you remember the "Domino Pizza Effect"?   At the start of the Gulf War the pundits were trying to guess when the invasion would start.   They looked at all the big indicators - fuel supplies, vacation levels, weapons deliveries,...   none of the routine indicators showed what was about to happen. Then someone noticed that when 500 or more dominos pizzas were delivered to the pentagon after hours there was always a conflict of some kind.  Turned out to be the only reliable predictor - I guess everyone is working late,...

anyhoo.  Staffing levels in my opinion are such an indicator.   Not cute like PE and CF after tax etc etc but a clear indicator of actual growth in the business.   15 staff at say 60k a year is a million bucks new expense every month.  They would not do that if they did not have business in the pipeline.
