RE:Setback for an open pit mine- Journal de Montreal
What setback? The company is moving ahead on the feasibility study as they always planned to do. CPTAQ has given the company approval to carry out the work that was always required for the feasibility study and it just happens that the same work now approved will address everything CPTAQ would like to see in order to give final approval for mine and quarry development.
It's true that the company had an aggressive timeline initially but the work required is the work required so you can't really call any of this a setback.
Zealots can spin things any way they would like but the Miller project advances and a mine will be developed at that site.
GSLR has no standing to do work on the property as noted by CPTAQ so the onous is entirely on GSLR to communicate with the company if they would like to be involved in the next steps. The company has stated over and over that they are willing to work together so if GSLR has preferences they had better make that call to the company because CPTAQ has made it more than clear this doesn't have to be the case.
