RE:Why are we here?
skyplt wrote: I am not addressing the more existential aspect of that subject title, more along the lines of why do I lurk on Stockhouse. I browse because I have 5000 shares for the long haul. I buy and sell up to 2000 shares in the short term based upon what is happening. Stopping by this chat site to take a pulse is part of my overall due diligence. But to be honest, there is less and less worth reading here. Reddit and Yahoo provide far more breadth. And now...in a fit of adolescent challenges we have some throwing down a gauntlet saying something like "if the stock price goes down you are obliged not to ever post again." Really? WTF? Are you twelve? I maintain that I own Tilray stock as I believe its CEO and CFO are doing the right things. I generally have about ten to twelve companies in my portfolio. There is not one company whose stock I own where I think the CEO is "simple" or "greasy". If that makes me a a$$ kisser than guilty as charged. Investing 101...the CEO and CFO define the company. I have no idea what is going to happen on the 28th. If I was convinced it was going down I would sell tomorrow. If I thought it was going up I would buy 2000 shares for a quick and profitable flip. I have no idea so am just holding my core position. I find it difficult to take anyone seriously who bad mouths management, is sure the stock price is going to go single digits, but holds anyway. MAKES NO SENSE. Mostly just nonsense on this board. I ready Vinny's copied post...I will grant you your wish. There is just not enough meat here to justify sifting through all of the garbage. Good job commonsense for pointing out the schizophrenic posts...claiming to be holding for the long term one day, then indicating selling the next. Zero credibility. Have fun. Time to move on from this board (but not the stock). Enter NorOnt and Vinny to wish me good riddance. You fools, this board is a perfect platform to share insights and respectfully debate pros and cons. You have turned it into a childish pi$$ing contest and name calling. I will hold my 5K shares for the long run as we have solid management navigating in a challenging sector. Not much more to say other than that so I won't. Best of luck longs.

See ya small timer.  Oh, and don't let the door hit you on the @ss on your way out.
