RE:RE:Will Solaris's Warintza Be Bigger Than Quellaveco?I would argue that with present drill data we have a very good chance of surpassing Quellaveco which is approx. 1.3 bt of around 0.7 % CU equiv. give or take. Moreover it is at 13,000 ft, covered with overburden. They had to divert a river for power. 5.3 billion dollar capital spend to get it in production by next year.
Warinza on the otherhand is less than 3000 ft, near grid, near road, near port. Hifgh grade at surface.
Back of the envelope calcultions for tonnage:
Central:
1250m X 500m wide x 600m deep x 2.5 SG = 937 mt of 0.6 % or so
East:
1200m x 500m wide x 600m deep x 2.5 SG = 900 mt of 0.6 % CU approx.
West:
1000m X 500m wide X 300m deep x 2.5 SG = 375 mt 0f 0.3 % CU approx.
Close to 2 BT 0f approx. .6% CU in one big pit with low strip ratio.
World class deposit potential already. Two more juicy targets to test!!!!
More drilling needed for East and West Warinza to confirm but very encouraging results so far.
