RE:RE:Brookfield will rape IPL.Good post dwdc. It's noteworthy how often posters on this board failed to actually even read the circular from either Pembina or Brookfield, but of course that didn't prevent many of them from having uninformed opinions about how things are or how they should be.
And tonight the last shoe dropped..... IPL's board came out in support of the latest, and final, Brookfield bid. Yes, it's over. Really. IPL board have waved the white flag.
As I said earlier, those who dream of IPL at $24 or $30 or whatever number can and should buy lottery tickets insead. The IPL ticket is done, at $20.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK..right in PEMBINA's offer was the multi hundred million dollar COST synergies , the biggest being work - force OVERLAP..hundereds of jobs were going to lost starting with head office soon as this deal had closed. If your looking to blame go after IPL's incompetent management team/BOD with their bad faith bargining with BROOKFIELD from the very start..Wow, so the great satan BROOKFIELD takes the deal AND IPL has to pay PEMBINA $350 million as well???...this is potentially extra monies that could have gone to IPL shareholders ..yes a break fee is part of signing a deal BUT NOT WHEN A SUPERIOR OFFER IS MADE such as the case of BROOKFIELD's immediate increased offer response to PEMBINA's so called frendly deal..,. For me , PPL has been a core holding so its a double win.As for IPL , management actions (or the lack of) put iitself in play and it was going to be sold and as i had predicted, at a price nobody was happy with...time to move on..dwdc
