As for the other things mentioned...if Clive can't sort them out then no one can. I have full faith in the quality of our management. Also, low PE and high dividend is why I am here...duh.
Aurum, my dear, the low P/E could very well mean that the market has very low expectations for BTO's growth prospect. We're indeed lagging industry average. I just had a glance at IVN and their ratio is an eye-popping 1,308. Their SP is still hovering around the 52-week high, which I assume is also their ATH because I never saw them trading at this price. We are, on the other hand, have shed 50% of our market cap.
The dividend is nice because we're paid to wait but I don't know how sustainable it is. This is my "fun money" account I am investing in so I'm comfortable taking more risks and I have time to wait it out. As a matter of fact, I don't want to realize any more capital gains this year because my tax bill is heavy enough, so hopefully BTO will see some positive movement some time next year.
Still putting your full faith in management eh? After what happened with Supreme, I'm never fully trusting anybody again. But I like the fact that the CEO is a man. I guess it's personal but I always get a long well with men. No man has made me cry, put me down, cheated on me. But women...oh women...no women no cry. I am suddenly reminded of Tolstoy's War and Peace character Dolokhov. Years have passed and I can recite verbatim what he said to Rostov: "I have met loving, noble, high-minded men, but I have not yet met any women who weren't for sale--countesses or cooks, they're all the same. If I found a women like that I'd give my life for her!"
What am I doing again? I thought by making myself unanonymous I would be able to tone down on my nonsense. It takes time...
