RE:Oil FlowAs to judomacco's post; the bulk of oil in the Permian has come from conventional type of drilling. With declining production of this type there were worries it was peaking. I had a stake in some conventiiol wells and it was getting harder and more costly to pull money out of them.
The good news: do not underestimate the resourcefulness of Americans and especially Texans! Example: pad drilling where they can drill many wells out from a central location - like an octopus - thus saving personnel, time, effort, and cost.
This being said I know fracking has been on an uptick but do not believe it is much more than maybe 15 to 20 % of production there at present.
