I strongly suggest you revisit AND re-analyse your assumptions here, as many of them are quite incorrect. Especially those pertaining to Deep South. Before you start to make STRONG accusations on a company, you better make sure that whatever criticism or allegations you levy against them are indeed factual & accurate. Of which you've definitely failed on BOTH counts here and may even severly hamper your crediblity with other investors on these boards.
I really have no vested interest here and don't intend to anytime soon, so my motivation to post here is JUST to correct your false claims concerning Deep South's situation in Namibia. For the simple purpose of CORRECTLY informing new or novice investors in this sector of course. Nothing more, nothing less. As for the company itself, just the fact these guys are operating in Africa, and a very unstable part of it to boot, is enough to disuade ANY competent investor to be on high alert and think twice before making ANY investement in companies like Trigon. This goes for Deep South as well, just incase some of you think i'm being biased. The tragic circumstance around Deep South's predicament should NOT be brushed aside blindly or overlooked. What happened to them could have happened to ANY other Canadian miner who didn't play ball the way the Namibian Gov't wants you to.
The reason Trigon has "established friendly contracts", as you put it. Is because they caved to the demands of the Namibian Gov't to keep their licences intact. In other words, they had to "give up" a lot to keep their licences & keep operating there. For those that are not aware, Trigon ALSO came close a few years ago to NOT having their licenses renewed if they didn't make some internal changes within the company. Precariously close! In addition, Trigon only has a 80% interest in their asset, the remaining 20% is owned by the Nambian Gov't or those close to them. Deep South has had a 100% ownership since the beginning by taking it over from Tech years ago. This fact has irked the Namibians and they wanted a piece of that valuable pie. So they invented ways to remove Deep South from the asset or at the very least to shakedown the company. This could have EASILY happened to Trigon......so get off your high horse.
I hope this has cleared up the FACTS concering this comment. I just hate it when people post inaccurate, false or just plainly bad info on a company or a certain situation. For whatever motivation the op has.
Good luck & God speed
