RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:"This is a crisis of people who have not been vaccinated"Call it fear if you wish, covid is real. Even some notable Republicans are now doing a 1-80 and are urging their clan to get vaxxed. Hopefully not, but if we do get another wave and companies start demanding proof of vax then I can tell you that I will not be visiting those establishments where any one can walk right in.
Ontario's vax rates, where SIR operates mostly, are high and, while slowing, the numbers could possibly hit 90% single and 80% double for 12+. These are people who signed up and lined up willingly to get a jab so if a vax proof was all that is needed to regain some freedom from a another lockdown then so be it. Beats sitting at home eating out of styrofoam.

Some just for the pain in the as$ factor. This isn't like restaurants have products that people can't do without. And for example...a party of 6....one isn't vaccinated....the entire group cannot go to that restaurant to eat. They'll just go to one without the restrictions or not eat in restaurants at all. Trust me....'packed' bs aside this industry doesn't need to do anything else to deter people from frequenting their establishments. The restaurant industry is still reeling from the restrictions....combine that with portion of the population that's so psychologically damaged by the fear mongering they may never eat in a restaurant again and it will be a mess for some time. I still see a scary number of people driving alone in their cars with masks on....and think....you poor damaged person.....you'll likely never lead a normal life again.

I don't believe we should make vaccination mandatory, but it is perfectly sensible to restrict the damage that unvaccinated people can cause by limiting their freedom to do so.

Prior to vaccine introduction, nursing homes were being ravaged above and beyond any typical flu. You have the right to wish as you do and boycott any business imposing restrictions but the overwhelming data is proving these vaccines save lives, minimze viral mutation and transmission and will ultimately be the only way out of this pandemic.
