Marathon does a fishing survey.

Marathon does a fishing survey. Not sure if Bearcat goes fishing in the area?

To obtain recreational fishing information for Victoria Reservoir and Valentine Lake, Marathon will be conducting Creel Surveys this Sunday and Monday (August 1st and 2nd) at a check point station on the existing forestry road approximately 50 km southwest of Millertown (Roebucks intersection).
What is a Creel Survey?
A creel survey (also known as an angler survey) is a type of in-person survey where an interviewer asks an angler questions about their fishing experience including questions such as the duration of the trip, how many fish they caught, and of what species.
Creel surveys are performed to gain insight about recreational angling perceptions, efforts, and harvests in order to inform future decision making. Creel surveys are a valuable tool for fisheries managers to use in understanding the systems they manage and how the public interacts with them.
How can I help?
If you are fishing near the project area and will be passing through the Roebucks intersection on August 1st or August 2nd, please stop at our checkpoint and complete the quick survey. If the check point is done for the day, you can still report your catch by calling 709-899-4200.
Thank You!
