RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:After the Long WeekendI agree with much of what you wrote here.  A "stategic purchase" as announced by NG at the time comes in many forms.  One may be a block to Barrick or others as a buyer.

I have also seen "strategic purchases" used as a personal favor to management from an industry friend to bridge the completion of a deal and I have seen that happen from Billionaire to Billionaire when one is up against the wall.   NG's participation could be nothing more than that but look at the speculation it caused. 

Appian, in my opinion, has their investment out in gold.  I still think they need .30 as a sell price though.
