RE:RE:StrategyAgreed. Investors would prefer to paid now, when times are still "relatively" good for the industry.

If the whole energy transition thing comes to fruition,which the renewables strategy is meant to altleast partially offset...who the hell cares about owing a bigger piece of a company in a largely diminished sector?

In the long term oil tips to surplus and prices risk collapse. By buying shares SU is investing in the long term and may be investing in that reality. The market wants the cash now. It doesn't believe in the long term.
