Although I am new at this forum I have been following your valuable inputs for a long time and I am curious what you guys think about ECO's sudden move to buy into JHI's stake.
Small correction. Eco is VERY interested in oil exploration. They have no interest in oil production!
I think you will get mixed reviews arond here regarding Eco's investment into JHI. Personally, I think it is a good thing. Guyana/Suriname is the number one exploration prospect in the world right now. The more exposure we get, the better.
As for the timing of the announcement. These deals take months if not years to complete. I am sure it was worked on for some time before the drill bit started turning. The fact it finalized 1 week before the results, is probably not coincidence. I'd guess they rushed the final stages to get the announcement out before resluts.
