RE:Shallow depth + lack of 3rd party core data is problematic

RE:Shallow depth + lack of 3rd party core data is problematicHey hidden, you said you sold all of your position today. Yet you are still here. Are you trying to bring up FUD to get the SP down to re-enter at a lower price thus getting a larger share total? Just buy back in tomorrow because you will probably have nightmares tonight on what if this is a monster play!! The dilemma now is you will have nightmares if you are out and nightmares if you are in...what to do ??
Hiddensecrets wrote: I had really liked this company and had followed each press release very closely including viewing their various conferences.   I was not familiar with oil drilling and have been able to learn alot about oil exploration, thanks to the help of many posters and, information on the internet.

I sold my entire position today because I noted some serious discrepancies which really bother me;

For starters there is the issue of today depth.   The company was to drill to 12,500 feet and on both occasions they failed to hit this total depth.   The first hole was drilled to 7,526 feet and to second hole to 9,121 feet.     The reason that this is problematic is that the representatives of the company had stated that this basin was 30,000 feet, much deeper than the 6,000 feet neighbor basin next door where they did find hydrocarbons however this basin was too shallow and as a result the rocks did not cook the hydrocarbon enough.   The company was  hopeful that with a basin of 30,000 feet it was deep enough to cook the oil.  With the recent press it raises some doubts as to the depth of this basin, is it really 30,000 feet especially when the drill program has not gone beyond 7,526 feet in hole 1 and, 9,121 feet in hole 2.    If it is not deep then are we not in a similar situation like the neighors to next to us where oil did not cook as basin was too shallow.

I had watched various interviews and the representatives of the company had stated that in July 2021 we were going  to get 3rd party verification of core lab results of these source rocks especially in hole 6-2.   These lab results were to shed some light on the porosity of the rocks, the permeability of the rocks, the total carbon content etc.... We were supposed to know more on the source rock.   And with thousands of posters  including institutions watching for this press release, not one word on the source rock, nothing.     So it begs the question, why is nothing released????   Everyone was bragging and now dead silence.   Is it possible that the results of the source rocks are poor and hence better to keep quiet?

Where has Jarvie gone?   He was all over the first press release when he confirmed the nature of the source rock in hole 6-2 and what he saw.    Why dead silence from him?   If he goes back to his retirement, then it is problematic.

The negotiations with possible joint venture partners were supposed to be the high event of this project, to draw in the majors.   Now the talk is about scoping the whole area in search of oil.   So what happened to oil shows in hole 6-1 and 6-2??  If you are mapping the whole area does this mean that we do not have oil in these two holes and, why the remark that you may return back to hole 6-1 and 6-2, why the word may...should it not say, we will????

I think that the company should not have released this last  press release as it was not material and disclosed nothing of value except to tell investors that they did not hit total depth on 2 occasions, to seriously raise investor concerns as is evidenced by the selloff.

Why did the company not explain why this happened???   Did they hit water and decided to stop drilling cause  there was no point???

So I got to wonder, is this thing real or not?   What a horrible feeling to have.   I just don't know anymore.
