The future of RNG
The future of RNGThere is a disaster brewing in the US. Political Pundits and Environmental Zealots are trying to get rid of the Internal Combustion Engine with some crazy idea that Total Electric or Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology is the answer for transportation, particularly as related to Class 8 Heavy Duty over the road trucks--the kingpin of long distance distribution of goods and services for every country in the world. CRAZINESS. RNG is the only carbon negatvie near zero emission fuel. With the use of HPDI 2.0 technology from Westport Fuel Systems, Class 8 Heavy Duty over the road trucks fueled with RNG from Xebec Adsorption and Biostream perform "on par" with the identical Internal Combustion Engine that presently uses diesel. It is a near zero emission truck and, when fueled by RNG is actually carbon negative due to the capture of biogas from organic waste to produce the RNG. Even more incredible, they are developing HPDI 2.0 to use hydrogen rather than RNG. Green hydrogen produced by HyGEAR and Xebec which will be a zero emission fuel using an Internal Combustion Engine. No batteries, no lithium to make the battery work, no hydrogen fuel cells, no production and disposal of batteries, no new infrastructure to transport hydrogen from wind farms to enduser of hydrogen, no new industry for the production, maintenance, and repair of electric motors because the Internal Combustion Engines will be produced, maintained, and repaired by the existing automotive industry. It's not rocket science. P.S. Westport Fuel Systems, WPRT, went up 28.39% today after its Q2 Earnings Report.
