By the way it is spelled "neanderthal". I assume your comment was meant to be disparaging which demonstrates your ignorance. Neanderthal were skilled artisans who were able to survive and adapt to extreme conditions for more than 300,000 thousand years in Europe and elsewhere. They ultimately most likely merged with Homo sapiens (modern humans). In fact, if you are not of recent african descent you almost certainly have neanderthal DNA. So in a way your are correct, Neanderthals still walk above ground in Alberta and even in your city or village, so stop judging your fellow peoplekind.
