I'm not using CAGR in assessing BB's performance between November 2013 to August 2021. I'm using the simplest version of annualized return. Anyone who tries to muddy the waters on this has obviously deeply wounded by simple, pointed facts.
Based on the starting valuation of $6.50 CAD, BB has essentially doubled in less than 8 years.
A double = 100%. Divide by 8. Answer = 12.5%.
Compare that to the "eight year bull market" of the TSX composite index.
Mid-November 2013 = 13,482
August 6 2021 = 20,475
Growth = 6,993 = 52%. Divide that by 8 ... = 6.5%.
