RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:First ReactionI get what you're saying, but I'm not sure the responsibility of other investors having self-control and rational thinking falls on other investors' shoulders? I don't see harm in someone taking a stab at speculating as to share price movement projections. IE: taking a stab at what someone thinks will be the bottom, or what price will be hit by the end of 2022 and stuff. Should be harmless fun. I do notice the odd trait here that some people obsess over the share price and seem to place great importance on what it is doing today, or tomorrow, or in response to earnings (as opposed to caring strictly about the earnings/guidance and other fundamentals themself; unless you gamble on like 1 week away expiration options or something, I don't get the big fuss about immediate share price). I say this sincerely, maybe if some people are going to ignore their own beliefs and projections and replace them by matching someone else's, they should do like the person who is actually making the projection... Probably not married to the expectation of it playing out as predicted, or behaving as if they need it to.
Maybe if someone is actually willing to listen to other investors thoughts, and then get behind them and either feel strongly about it to the point where they will be otherwise disappointed, or even dependent on that *speculative projection* of an irrational metric (share price, especially in a short-term timescale; of which a year or 2 is short-term), much less lose hope, their investing strategy seems... well frankly and brutally honestly, terrible. Maybe they can use the experience as a lesson to focus on relying on their own valuations, and also forming realistic expectations and awareness of this being a long-term investment growth stock, where it is silly to let your hope be affected in any way at all over whether or not a share price moved the way some poster suggested it could or predicted it would in the near future.
Just my two cents, and it's not meant to dismiss your take, either.
