RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:charging stations

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:charging stations The big reason for moving to EV's is about reducing carbon emissions.  Therefore, the move should also be to make EV's as efficient as possible.  Transportation in all forms is about payload.  You want to reduce, to the greatest extent possible without compromising safety, the curb weight of the vehicle.  In this way you either reduce the cost of the movement, or increase the payload possible.  The same reason aircraft do not fill their fuel tanks for a short flight.  They just haul enough fuel to get them their plus a safety margin amount.  That way, they can carry more cargo, be it freight or passengers.  Same applies to trucks.  Governments should get involved in ensuring vehicle manufacturers are not building another inefficient, energy wasting set of vehicles that will result in huge increases in carbon emissions as the electrical needs of these EV's are met.  suppString batteries are the answer.  With string batteries, you only need to carry enough weight to meet your destination goals.  if you are going on a 24 hour trip, fill the battery bank, if you going to the 1 hour trip to the office, take a 2 or 3 hour battery supply.
