RE:RE:RE:Oroco Update by Ian GrahamAll very good points. A few additions.
1) We know the historical drilling stopped at 200 meters.
200-400m. Some are only 200m, a number are 300m and a few are 400m.
2) Mariusz and Ian said that if they stop seeing copper they just drilled, as further drilling just wastes $.
Yes, the geologists on site will make that determination.
3) We now know that they are drilling at 50 meters a day, have been doing it for 12 days, which means that they are getting close to 600 meters.
They are drilling 50-60m per shift. Initially there was only a day shift. But now they are drilling in 2 shifts so they are drilling up to 120m a day. If not already completed, I'd imagine hole #1 is about done.
4) 1 + 2 +3 = They are still seeing copper at 600 meters and they are still drilling. So they already expanded the resource from 200 to 600 meters. To be fair it is not all in depth but part of it is sideways, but they are still drilling.
This is incorrect. This is not directional drilling that is used in oil drilling. The angle is consistent. Hole #1 is drilled at 60 degrees, so this first core won't be very deep. A 800m drill hole length gives us a depth of "only" 400m. As Ian explains these first holes are less about going to depth below the grade shell and more about intercepting historical holes at varying depth passing through the shell at shallow angle.
