It doesn't require capital, and look how well paying off debt rewards the share holders, it doesn't the stock keeps going down. Paying off 2% debt is a waste of time, when you have a resource opportunity like kakwa, and every day there is an opportunity cost.
You would think 500 million debt reduction should add what? 70 cents a share, sorry but the stock is going in the wrong direction. The enterprise value is shrinking both from the debt side, and the market cap side. Does this sound like a get market perception of what management is doing, i think not.
