RE:Valens soars after deal with Verse to launch ....I'm not convinced that the recent gains in the stock price are the result of the announcement of the deal with Verse. There have been other announcements that were somewhat similar but didnt have anywhere near the same impact. Personally, I hope it's not the case that the Verse announcement caused a 20% increase over the past 2 trading sessions, because that would mean it's something else, and it's fun to speculate what that might be.
Looking at the chart, I think almost 400,000 shares were traded in the last 5 minutes on Friday that helped juice up the price a nickel or so, but the trading volume and the price gains were actually quite steady all day.
Could someone have been gambling that VLNS was going to get HC approval yesterday at 5, and bought over a million bucks worth of shares etween 3:55PM and 4:00PM on a hunch? Don't know, but if yes, I wish I had that kind of dough to bet with. Was it maybe shorts who got spooked by the same possibility deciding to slowly cover all day, finishing with a bang? I dont know but I'd like to think that it's neither, and instead it's leaked knowledge of a perfect storm of news coming soon - an announcement that Pommies has HC approval, which will include an accouncement of a major beverage deal. There hasnt been any news out of Oz for months. A deal in Quebec is in the works. Something from Green Roads?
So we're halfway through August, it's back to business in September - I want to see $6 per share with Q3 results in October. I dont think it's impossible.
