Tesla's "No Acid" Process Aimed at Nevada Lithium ClaysCould be highly cost effective, bolstering profitability of Lithium clay extraction, i.e. the likes of Cypress and surrounding Lithium clay deposits
And relatively environmentally benign as the clay is returned in situ after Lithium removal which should rapidly speed up the approval process for the mining & processing of Nevada Lithium clay deposits.
It's in Tesla's interest to license its process to Nevada Lithium developers given the Gigafactory's scrambling need for Lithium as the global Lithium availability supply is tightening rapidly.
For example, in recent online bidding auction for Pilbara's 10,000 dry metric tonne Lithium Spodumene Concentrates involving 62 bids with price action upwards to $1,250 per dmt.
And this is very, very early stage of the Global transportation electrification objective.
Supply will get even more critical and price going much higher.
