RE:RE:Wondering if Pipeline access is a problem
RE:RE:Wondering if Pipeline access is a problemMy understanding is that the BOO projects are directed more towards organic industrial and food waste than agricultural waste. The food industry is increasingly prohibited from dumping food waste in landfills so the BOO would serve as a dumping site for a large urban area. Biostream is geared towards agricultual waste. The proposal I've seen is that individual farms will have a collection area for the RNG which would be accessed by a specialized truck that would make a route between the farms. This truck would then inject the RNG into a specified connection to the natural gas line making it unnecessafy to send pipeline to each individual farm. Can Biostream service individual farms more economically than any other system, ie. Greenlane. I'd say yes but time will tell. The paramount question is whether there is a serious societal motivitaion to replace diesel fuel in large horsepower engines, Class 8 trucks, construction venicle, trains, ships? For the sake of my grandchildren, I hope there is. Can any other renewable fuel source compete iwith RNG n these large engines? My guess would be no
