I was giving some thought to this...

I was giving some thought to this...The recent UN report on climate change made a number of statements and recommendations. One of the recommendations was to try and cut down on methane gases, as opposed to carbon, because it isn't feasible to cut carbon enough in the short-term to have any serious effects. This was picked up by the CBC, who interviewed someone on how this could be done. They made two suggestions: (1) tell people to stop eating meat; or (2) change the feed given to livestock so that they could change the microbial contents of their stomachs. The person went on to say that both are difficult, but that the second is far more unlikely.

Now, I don't necessarily agree with either recommendation, but I'm a shareholder so I'll toss my thoughts out. Since the Canadian government is heavily invested in the climate change movement, and since they have actually invested in companies like BU, I think it puts us in a good position for the government to start promoting alternative protein sources - i.e., companies like BU. I think we might see a push for more comapnies to carry BU products in the near future.

Also, I finally tasted the Nestle products using BU recently. They are carried at Costco. It wasn't the best thing I've ever eaten, but it was good enough. If they can keep prices low enough, I see no reason why people wouldn't purchase them over other frozen, meatless products.

Just a thought I had...
