Drones and Security Plymouth Rock Technologies focuses on bringing UAS and security/surveillance systems to government agencies across the globe. As more governments look for alternative ways to ensure security not only for their citizens but their police and military forces as well, they are turning to unmanned and AI-powered methods.
The entire UAV market is estimated to reach $58.4B in 2026 from $27.4B today, growing with a CAGR of 16.4%. The report also states that this growth can be attributed to drone adoption in commercial applications. $PRT has a few things that set them apart.
- Not only developing drones but many more technologies such as shoe scanners, millimetre radar imaging for threat detection, etc.
- An experienced team of professionals managing and directing the company
- Drone use can be customized to what the customer needs. For example, they have a contract in Madagascar for AI monitoring of endangered species and poacher identification in Madagascar
With all these technologies and lots of growth potential, the current valuation looks like child's play. Only an $18M market cap at these levels (recently closed financing was done at $0.40 for $2.3M).
Now, this is just a speculation of mine, but with the Taliban once again in control of Afghanistan, domestic security spending (specifically in western countries involved in the decades-long war) will increase. Domestic security equipment is exactly what $PRT provides in addition to their drones.
