Hey Mega are you and the Rockdoctor convinced ROX may have the goods?
I know LAB & NFLD are clearly on the Appleton so why they took a position there
but with still no major hit besides SIC and NFG but are these not different
structures we are talking about? Are there vugs and gabros? IKE
I don't know 100% for sure the ROX mineralization is identical to that of NFG. That Fault structure goes right through the island. There are several faults and it seems so far the Appleton Fault is the best but it's still early in the exploration phase with all of these companies. The Rock Doctor feels a lot of these faults were most likely connected at one time but have been offset by the movement of the plates due to extreme pressures about 400 to 500 million years ago (his words). I think Shawn Ryan says it was 320 million years ago. The Rock Doctor says the ocean floor was pushed up during this event and that is why you have basalts, gabbros and ultramafic rocks in central NL but he especially likes the area between the Dog Bay Line and the GRUB line. He only talks about it when he's drinking and I get him going on the subject. He figures ROX is in the right rocks. Eric Sprott especially likes ROX it appears. But any of these guys could hit but it seems ROX, NFLD, LAB and SIC are in the right rocks and along the right faults But so far it appears NFG is in the sweet spot but it's still early days.
That news ROX put out is extremely positive. I think investors are spoiled with the high grade gold intersections released by NFG in the 100's of grams per ton. Let's face it most deposits can't deliver these extremely high grades. But ROX hitting almost 10 g/t over 8 meters is a very good drill hole so early in a drill program so they are off to a great start. I thought the stock would have gone up on that news. Oh well. NFG's fantastic success could be having a slightly negative impact because now investors are comparing everyone's assays results to their ultra high grade results. Not exactly fair. They have set the bar really high it seems.
