RE:RE:RE:Welchspring

RE:RE:RE:WelchspringThe US market did very well on Friday and the Canadian market was average. What sparked the US market on Friday related to one of the Fed committee members suggesting that bond tapering could be held back if the delta virus impacts the economy. Based on that announcement yesterday US stocks had a big bounce. I personally find it amazing that when Fed committee members speak they have such an influence on the market. It will be interesting to see what happens on Monday & Tuesday with the US & Canadian markets. Market volitility is high at the moment. I usually track the VIX 500 to get a reading on the volitility level in the market. Also there are a number of divergences showing up on various market charts so I would be very cautious.

It is never my intent to be negative but with so many big headwind issues investors need to be aware. Unfortunatly some of these headwind issues can influence the market by 200-300 points in one day. Personally since there is so much negativity amongst investors the majority of my funds are in cash and I play the market daily. This is not my way of investing in companies but with so much uncertainity amongst investors I can control my outcome. Like all investors we hate losing money so in my opinion when the market volitility starts to get above 20-25 it is time to change your strategy in how to play the market.
