RE:Is there a chancehf, unfortunately potash juniors in Saskatchewan are really hurting right now as evidenced by Encanto, Western, and Karnalyte's inability to get their projects moving and now they have very little cash remaining, resulting in a lot of small companies desperately seeking that White Knight to stay relevant.
Should any big player decide to swallow up juniors resources, it may not be at a shareholder friendly target price as negotiating strength has all but cratered for the above mentioned juniors.
Keep in mind, Karnalytes targetted resource is not your typical deposit as it is largely made up of carnallite, which has its own extraction challenges, and if I am not mistaken, more testing is required to confirm its economic viability as there is really nothing comparable in a large scale, commercial application.
DEUSA would be the closest likely, and that operation is relatively small in comparison to Karnalytes vision, and their deposit is much shallower making the extraction process less troublsome.
https://deusa.de/en/innovation.html It is really a shame as the 2016 Optimization program appeared to highlite some important areas that required further tinkering, and yet it was stopped dead in its tracks.
With all the wasted money since that time, I am sure the kinks could have been ironed out and a small producing mine could have been operational by now on some level.
With the $45 million GSFC brought in to advance the Wynyard Project, it could be argued that we are no further ahead than Karnalyte was in early 2013.
I agree with pp 100% GSFC is a shareholder of Karnalyte Nothing more / nothing less and yet they somehow control both the boardroom and any voting outcomes
Until that changes why would anyone want to pony up hundreds of millions to get dirt flying.
All the milestones accomplished prior to 2013 seemed to set the table for success, and sadly it is tragic what can happen when control, greed, and ego get in the way of common sense.
Mr Phinney had a vision, and that vision was met by continued expensive lawsuits, internal turmoil while the treasury continued to evaporate to the state we are now.
Truly sad when the future looked so bright!
