RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Expanded RPM codes @IFSCA - Yes, MCOs will add new programs and support a range of programs that cost them money but save them money in the long run. Lots of studies out there showing the cost savings of these programs. Some MCOs have bought Companies like Reliq in the past to offer these programs exclusively because they want more patients. Medicare patients choose their MCO and pay extra out of pocket to have the MCO coverage in additiona to Standard Medicare. The MCO market is very competitive in the US and is capitalist healthcare at its best.
I will repost the key points since you don't seem to be following my posts.
MCOs are on a Capitation model.
Physicians with MCOs are on a fee for service model.
United Healthcare covers the RPM CPT codes as I have shown and you have shown.
The rules for different MCOs may be different and some may require a co-pay. I have not seen that.
MCOs compete for patients so they need to provide the best services. It saves the overall to have their chronically ill patients on these programs.
All of this is great for Reliq.
