OT: It is clear that the Biden Administration failed to give Afghanistan the attention the public now demands, but let’s take a closer look as to why.
First and foremost, it must always be taken into account that the Biden Administration was denied the opportunity to prepare for dealing with the responsibilities that the American people had given them when the previous administration refused to cooperate in the transition. This was not a normal transition or transfer of power for our national government, and no responsible critique of Biden’s performance in his first 6 months can ignore this tremendous disadvantage.
Consider the benefit gained by a new administration to review what has been done, to establish the factual nature of the issue, and to make recommendations for future policy without the glare of the press nor the pressure of events forcing an immediate decision. This benefit or advantage was denied not just to Joe Biden, but also to the American People who would suffer or gain by the quality of decisions or actions that would take place.
“In stonewalling President-elect Joe Biden's transition, President Donald Trump isn't just breaking with tradition, he's endangering national security, numerous former government officials and experts said.
Presidential transitions have always operated under a time crunch. In less than three months, the outgoing administration and career government officials try to convey years of intelligence, know-how, planning and work to the incoming administration, which is simultaneously in the process of identifying and hiring thousands of staffers.
“The transition is fundamentally about trying to make sure whoever the president is, they’re ready to go on day one,” Max Stier, president and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service, which houses the Center for Presidential Transition, said.”

So basically, the Biden administration started on February 1st at ground zero not only with the Afghan surrender, but also a raging Pandemic, an economy on life support, a global climate crisis, and just to make it all better, a seditious ex-president attempting to overthrow our democracy … other than that Ol’ Joe hasn’t had too much on his plate.
