Eoganacht wrote: EBH2 (Electro-Bio-Hydrogen) began as an integrated research project (“Sustainable production of hydrogen by electrochemical and photobiological processes") sponsored by the region of Tuscany, Italy in 2007, and headed by Dr. Claudio Bianchini of the University of Firenze. The National Research Council of Italy awarded three research grants of one year duration for the project in a competition overseen by Dr. Bianchini.
Some high profile researchers involved in the project:
Francesco Vizza was the scientific director of a research unit of EBH2 from 2007-2008
Giuseppe Torzillo was a local coordinator of the EBH2 project from 2007-2009
Valentina Bambagioni was a student of Dr. Bianchini and an EBH2 grant researcher
Marchionni Andrea was an EBH2 researcher
One of these researchers may be the "dedicated researcher" mentioned on the EBH2 website.
In the year 2000 a company called Agri. Com Trading SA was set up in Lausanne, Switzerland for the purpose of trading in any merchandise, including advice and brokerage, in particular in the agricultural sector and more specifically in oilseeds and fodder grains, excluding all rights to buildings or parts of buildings in Switzerland.
Between 2016 and 2020, Agri. Com Trading SA officially changed it's name to EBH2 Systems SA. The two principals of the company are Wael Ashari and Filippo Ryter, a lawyer. The connection between EBH2 the 2007 Region of Tuscany sponsored project and the current EBH2 Systems SA is not clear, other than their name and the fact that they are/were both concerned with the production of hydrogen by electrolysis. Presumably, one or more of the researchers involved in the 2007 Tuscany project are now working with the Lausanne based company.
