RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:SpudHi Dirk,

In fact you touch a very relevant point regarding potential misunderstandings, misinterpretations of technical comments by the larger community here, and sometimes it tends to slip my mind so definitely it is worth stating these points for the whole community:

Dear all,

Based on my professional judgment and in all good faith:

1) The first and foremost point to keep in mind for the coming months is that not  a single human being on this Earth knows if there is oil down there until these potentially oil-holding layers are drilled.

2) The second point to keep in mind is that it is a gamble, independent of any technical data that may be presented in the meantime. Yes, it is a de-risked area with many succesful wells around and other geoscience technicalities that Oil_Run explained here several times (and that I confirmed with 2 exploration geologists that I trust and who also invested with us all as previoulsy stated) but as of today, there may or may not be oil down there, period. And whomever has a "certainty" regarding the existence or the absence of oil down there is simply expressing an opinion. Therefore, take this like any other gamble; there is a huge upside potential as well as a huge downside potential; again, anybody who does not recognize either one of these 2 potentials is simply expressing an opinion because these 2 potentials do exist.

3) The drilling team, as already stated being top-notch on several occasions here, is only a "factor of increased confidence" (i.e. no guarantee but certainly a very good indicator) that the well can be drilled as only (I highlight only) a technical success. In plain English, I trust these guys to get the job done from a technical perspective (but there is never a 100% guarantee) but the world is full of techical successes i.e; wells drilled under budget, no technical mishaps etc but that turned out to be dry. Kevin Lacy will not himself put the oil in that reservoir if mother nature hasn't decided to put it there.

As someone else was stating in the forum (apologies for not remembering who it was), the rest, for the coming months, will intrinsically be noise; some may decide to trade on the noise, some may not have the competence for it (myself) and prefer to wait for the end, it's up to everybody's own judgment.

In the meantime, Dirk, enjoy your retirement. Not being a career Company Man (I was a toolpusher until 2012 when I switched to the dark side), my back and knees are asking me quite often when I'm gonna hang the boots.

Let's hope CGX will give an answer to my knees...
