I am pretty sure they still have to compete with Trust Companies, Credit Unions, Co-op Banking and a slew of emerging On-Line Financial Institutions. Raising fees won't get them customers or keep them.
Maybe the Government has thought this through a little and isn't quite as dumb as you or that, "Titan of Business", Mark Twian think they are.
