Dreaming
Kirkland has a market cap of $US10.87 billion.
Newmont has a m.c. of US$46.97 B and Anglo $6.95 B.
Why would you think either one of those companies would be interested, or capable, of acquiring Kirkland? If, as some suggest, a triple digit price - presumably Cdn$ - would be required, then the valuation on KL would be about double: US$22 billion or so.
Give your head a shake. There might well be a consolidation wave about to hit this industry but Kirkland will be a buyer, not a seller.
