What is staking? Staking is a method of locking up a certain amount of crypto assets that operate as a validator.
Compared to crypto mining staking...
- has cheaper overhead costs
- no initial investments into a facility or hardware
- and uses 99.5% less energy
But how does it work?
Using ETH as an example, to begin staking, one needs to operate a node of 32 ETH (which would cost you $100,000
Tokens.com ($COIN.N $SMURF) facilitates crypto staking to the average investor by facilitating pooling of nodes therefore you can stake even if you don't have 100K burning a hole in your pocket.
Now is a good time to get into $COIN because their shares have traded down since Q2, yet all their staking assets are up:
ETH - 52%
DOT - 99.3%
BNB - 62.5%
Rose - 124%
To me it is pretty obvious that this discrepancy is due to a lack of investor education, but I think as more people learn about staking $COIN is going to skyrocket.
What do y'all think? Opinions on staking in general?
More info on staking here is my explanation didn't make sense haha: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiDtX1quIWA
