It usually runs ahead of the PoG and in the last down cycle of GDX, it took more than 4 years to exhaust. As for this time, we only have run through the first year and most people were hoping that this rally is only temporarily stopped, and we really have not reached the peak yet, because it has not really gone up by that much and for that long. However, that probably is the more unlikely case.
