On the TA note, it seems we might have had an early cycle low (last one was Aug 9). indicators have reset with higher low which is good. Higher high next cycle hopfully? I for one wants gold to take its time and backtest every resistance breached to ensure a long and strong bull cycle.
I've been thinking about Basel 3 becoming effective Jan 2022. Maybe the bullion banks know they are done and want to make one last play, i.e. short as much as they legally (or illegally) can, drive the price down, grab the fees and make outside long positions and declare bankrupcy/dissolve come Jan. 2022.
Scotiabank did the same thing and winded down Mocatta back in 2020 for price fixing and settle criminal charge. We are bound to see a few big players fall this time...there is upward of 20 billions worth of short on paper gold that needs to be settled to meet the Basel 3
