Not sure it is false narrative, just inaccurate reporting. Reporters are lazy. They just pick up some buzz and think they've discovered sliced bread. Not bothering to dig any deeper. It was nice to see that they quoted someone who actually does know what is going on (Tim), but sadly most fly brains would not read to the end of the article to see those intelligent comments from him.
