RE:RE:RE:RE:globe&Mail on FDPublicly no analyst or publication is calling it a scam. But certainly a lot are now in hindsight questioning the canyon between the market cap valuation versus actual results. I remember in July 2020 briefly discussing here with some diehard fans the around-$2 billion market cap valuation for something that had not yet generated even a couple of million in annual revenues at the time. Stock fell from some low $20s to just under $8 over the next couple of months prior to ascending to $60 or close to a $6 billion market cap with still annual revenues measuring several millions. Any "investor" paying that kind of a premium against the fundamentals IMO was not being scammed but rather exercising very poor judgment and gambling that the business lines will grow significantly. As for gamblers that don't even look at financial statements, they take their blind bets. So, no sympathy for anyone that played this thing especially in the double digits when the valuation was in billions, compared to so many TSX-V companies who at times don't even have a hundred mill market cap yet had several times the revenue and were not losing money. One of my investments has a market cap less than $30 million for revenues in teens (lower than prior year due to the pandemic) yet still generating a bit of profit and a positive cashflow.
