RE:RE:Good update on Bombardier by flightglobal Hi flightpath5, i to dont have subscription but every month I can read few for free. Unfortunately when i go back to it now its locked out. You can try from another computer or smartphone phone and might be able to read it. Basically the article says that Bombardier has reduced their office foot print and through office job reduction and moving to Saint Laurent they have saved several hundred million. Martel said any day the deal to sell montreal real estate will be done and cash from that will be used for the new Toronto FAL. Bombardier is now studying which bizz jet segment to build new jets. They are concentrating in mid to large size bizz jet as these segments are not crowded and bombardier is a leader. Martel went on to say that their used bizz jet are hard to come by as one customer was looking for used bombardier jet and couldnt find any. Article author says this has to do with bombardier introducing certified used jet market. Bombardier is also looking at 4 to 5 options on all new jet design. Once they figure out what the industry wants then they will commit to it. That decision is few years out. Global 8000 could be possible but what it will do, range, size, etc is not finalized. Learjet facilities will be busy after last lear jet is made. There are other work that will keep Learjet facilities busy. Also Bombardier is aggressively hiring to continue to increase after market support. There are few other points that now i forgot. Oh they are also looking/studying into hydrogen powered aircraft. Its far away from now so R&D cost is not a lot.
