Brian Foley’s forecasts a return to good times "Our latest delivery forecast at my consultancy anticipates around 700 industry deliveries in 2021 — on par with what it has been for many years. A meaningful ramp-up will begin in 2022 and continue unabated for several years, easily surpassing the 900-unit level for the first time since 2007. The demand will be driven by first-time owners, corporations that hunkered down during the pandemic but are now ready to buy and charter/fractional providers who need larger fleets, by the hundreds, to meet increased market demand.
The primary industry players who stand to benefit from the trend include the aviation unit of TextronTXT -2.6%, General Dynamics GD -1.8% with its Gulfstream division, Dassault Falcon Jet, Embraer and Bombardier. The improving market has been particularly beneficial to the latter company, which only recently became a pure-play business jet manufacturer, with its future tied to the segment."
