RE:Question to an empty roomI think going private is the worst resort for any of these companies in the future.
Seems any company than is private and medium sized or smaller it is for sale right now.
The ability to issues shares on a stock exhcange is such a huge plus...even from the bankers point of view.
The company that I think is most at risk of being privatized is Bonterra and I am not sure shareholders would like the offer price if this ever happened. Fink already owns alot of shares.
My gut says this doesnt happen in the end but I think Bonterra needs to add capital somehow. Probably a rights offering or share placement. Even if BNE can roll over their Dec 31 debt due further into the future...they still face such high quarterly interest costs for the size they are and what they can CF.
Look at Bonavista privitzation last summer. I didnt spend much time reading about it as I never had an interest but basicaly when they had financiak trouble..the largest shareholder of Bonavista just bought the whole company when they were neg with bankers.
I don't think sharehoders have any leverage in a privatization price if the company has lots of debt.
Yangarra is still doing way to good to every I think be considered for privazation.
