RE:RE:Good for us ... or not? This is old news and should not really surprise any one that has invested in Africa. But to be fair, these close ties exist in the Western world but they are more subtle and sophisticated.
As to president Hage Gottfried Geingob, we should not be surprised that he is "involved" with his "associates" in that he is from this area.
Indeed I think this is good for us in that him and his tribe can "zip" things along, or as they say in Africa "do the magic". I would figure 20 % off the top in "commissions" for this all.
I long invested in South African miners and a few years ago when prices were low they cut back on the "grease"'and there were massive strikes, violence, and bloodbaths. The wealth has to be shared and distributed if not to the people at least to the leaders as a cost of doing business. Sorry idealists but that is the reality. That is how South Africa holds together. And yes there still is big money to be made!
