I don’t think anybody really knows how much Uranium is stored out there. Apparently over the last few years more uranium has been used than mined but there was a big overhang from shutdown reactors in Japan . Many which sold off there inventories of uranium. Utilities are tight lipped about how much inventory they have. The whole market is very opaque. The recent increase in Reactor operating life licenses might be a catalyst because many Utilities may have been running down there inventories with the idea of shutting down units permanently when there operating license came to an end. To really breath life into the uranium industry we need new builds and lots of them.
